How ARCO Works –
ARCO Math

ARCO Math is not tutoring, and it is not classroom teaching. It is a new way for children to take charge of their own learning, supported by parents, schools, and peers.

ARCO Math

how it works

1. Support Before Learning Sessions

Parents and schools prepare the environment, not the content. A LEAD person is assigned to a group of children.  Each child has a quiet place to work with stable electrical power, stable  Internet, and a tablet. Their group mates are either in the same space or join the other kids online. A session starts when each kid logs into the group’s HOME Portal.

2. Learning Together, Not Alone

ARCO is designed for children to help one another. In group sessions, they share progress openly, ask questions, and celebrate small wins. These get-togethers are supportive, transparent, and fun – the opposite of competition.

3. Mistakes Become Clues

Every worksheet and test is more than practice: it is also a diagnostic tool. Mistakes are treated as signals of possible weaknesses. The system immediately responds by directing attention to specific subtopics where support is needed.

4. Back-Filling Gaps

Instead of leaving gaps to grow, ARCO responds with Back-Fill materials – short, clear examples that directly address the weakness. These examples are simple but effective, helping students overcome obstacles in a timely way.

5. Fluency and Mastery

Worksheets build fluency in arithmetic – but they are not just drills. They create a rhythm of practice, reflection, and growth. Children develop confidence as they experience mistakes turning into strengths.

6. Weekly Tests and Reports

Each week, students complete a test covering recent material. These tests are low-stress checkpoints, not high-stakes exams.

They serve two purposes:

  • Detect remaining weaknesses
  • Provide summary reports that highlight progress in a way parents and schools can easily understand

7. Why ARCO is Different

ARCO is not classroom learning: there are no long explanations, no waiting for the teacher, no passive listening.
