Turning Math Into a Foundation for Autonomy
Our first pilot focuses on Year 2–6 mathematics in Malaysia. The goal is not only to strengthen math skills, but to test how an autonomous, socially embedded learning infrastructure can transform the way children engage with content.
We believe math is the ideal starting point: it is structured, cumulative, and universal — yet too often taught as drills without deeper readiness or reflection.

How ARCO Math Works
1. Trusted Content Sources
- We build on world-class math content platforms such as Khan Academy.
- Students access high-quality lessons and exercises covering Year 2–6 fundamentals:
- Addition, subtraction, multiplication, division
- Fractions, decimals, percentages
- Measurement, geometry, and algebra foundations
2. ARCO’s Infrastructure Layer
- Readiness checks: Students back-fill missing skills before advancing.
- Social support: Parents and peers can follow progress through simple dashboards.
- Autonomy tools: Bubble logs and reflection exercises help children track and own their learning.
Math Pilot
Pilot Design
- Cohort: Year 2–6 students in Malaysia, with a mix of urban and rural learners.
- Duration: Initial pilot over one school term.
- Method:
- Students use Khan Academy (or similar) for content.
- ARCO tools run in parallel to capture readiness, autonomy, and social engagement.
- Outcomes Measured:
- Math mastery (as tracked in Khan).
- Growth in autonomy (as tracked in ARCO).
- Family/peer engagement (dashboards, reflections).
Math Pilot
Why This Pilot Matters
- For Students: Builds confidence and independence in math.
- For Parents: Makes learning visible and participatory.
- For Schools: Offers a scalable, low-cost model that complements existing curricula.
- For Partners (like Khan): Demonstrates how mastery content can be embedded in a broader social-autonomy framework.

Content Providers, Funders, Schools — We Welcome You
ARCO Math does not compete with content platforms — it enhances them.
By joining forces, we can create pilots that demonstrate how autonomy, readiness, and social support strengthen learning outcomes.
